About
Balkan Team Cup is a team-based foosball event that, for the first time in Serbia, brings together clubs and players from the region and beyond. The tournament is organized by KSF Košava, with support and expertise from competitors in Croatia and Slovenia, with the shared goal of shaping a new chapter in the regional foosball scene.
The event is hosted at the LAB Cultural Center, one of the most active multifunctional venues in Novi Sad, ideal for both sports and cultural events. The tournament is open to all countries and was originally conceived as a regional Balkan initiative which, due to strong interest from players outside the region, quickly grew into an international competition while still keeping the name that represents its original idea.
The main goal of the Balkan Team Cup is to promote table soccer and strengthen the role of clubs. Although the sport is most often viewed through individual disciplines, this event highlights the team format, unity, and a fair-play atmosphere. Participants will experience a completely new competition structure, connect with international players, exchange knowledge, and help build a stronger, more collaborative community. The tournament does not award ITSF ranking points, but fully adheres to official ITSF rules, with a strong focus on professional organization and high-quality gameplay.
Competition Format & Rules

- Format: 6+3 teams, team-based format
- Schedule:
- Day 1: qualifications + players party
- Day 2: eliminations and award ceremony
- Qualifications: 5 rounds, 1 set to 40 goals
- Eliminations: 1 set to 40, random table
- Final: 1 set to 40, teams choose their table
- Tables: 1x Garlando, 1x Leonhart, 1x Tornado
- Entry Fee: €100 per team + €20 tournament fee
- Prizes: Trophies + additional prizes (coming soon)

Team Composition
- 6 core players + up to 3 substitutes
- Substitutes are optional, and teams may compete with 6 to 9 members
- Teams may be mixed (men and women participate equally)
Game System
- Point structure: Singles → Doubles → Singles → Doubles
- The switch occurs when one team reaches specific goal thresholds:
- at 10 goals transition from singles to doubles
- at 20 goals transition from doubles to singles
- at 30 goals transition from singles to doubles
- the first team to reach 40 goals wins the match
- The lineup for each match is determined in advance by the team captain
Qualifications
- 5 rounds played in a Swiss-system format
- Each match is played as 1 set to 40 goals
- Tables are assigned randomly for each round
Eliminations
- Brackets are formed after the qualification stage
- Teams are placed into roup A and Group Bbased on their qualification results.
- The group system will be defined after registrations close, depending on the final number of teams
- Elimination matches up to the final are played as:
- 1 set to 40 goals
- Tables are assigned randomly
Final
- The final match is played as 1 set to 40 goals
- Each team chooses its own table
- Refereeing format and rules comply with ITSF standards
